Recently, my husband and I decided to celebrate our 4th anniversary in Malaysia. But before going there, we took a transit flight from Jakarta to Singapore instead of going straight to Kuala Lumpur. Why?
Yep, it’s because Jewel Changi. Located in the airport complex of Singapore International Airport, the Jewel Changi is the most modern luxurious retails in South East Asia. The concept of this place is to blend the nature into retail and entertainment place.

We intentionally went to Singapore to see Jewel Changi before heading to Kuala Lumpur. So we took the flight to Singapore International Airport then transit for 6 hours.
You need at least 5 or 6 hours transit if you want to explore this place. I think it could be quite flexible to spare more time here, you can have meals and take quite a lot of photos here. The place can be accessed from both Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, but you have to pass the immigration check first.

Having at least 40 height, the Rain Vortex is the largest and tallest indoor in the world. By seeing it from the plaza below, you can see the huge structure that circulates water from below then bring it to the roof to free fall from the round hole.

Exploring this site is necessary, you can take instagramable spot from every angle, every corner of Jewel. Even you can take the airport train from terminal 1 to terminal 3, to see closer the Rain Vortex, because the train railway passing through it right beside the Vortex.

Above the train railway is the canopy bridge made of glass panel flooring at the center so if you are not having phobia of height you can stand on this suspension bridge to see the Rain Vortex from above.
The bridge located in the topmost level of Jewel Changi which includes some leisure and recreational activities. To enter this place, you have to pay the ticket fee for about S$5 for foreigners.

I think this place is worth to visit, besides for its advanced technology, but also the entertainment and the facilities itself that will satisfy our needs.
That is just amazing! I did not see it when I was there in 2009. Thank you for following my blog!
